The Tianjin section of the Tianjin-Baoding high speed railway is starting to lay tracks. Undertaken by China Railway's Sixth Group Tianjin Railway Construction Company, the 157 kilometer long railway connects Tianjin West Station and Baoding Station in North China's Hebei province.
The whole journey has seven stops. The train can travel at speeds as fast as 250 kilometers per hour. The railway will be completed in 2015. The time spent in travelling between Baoding and Tianjin will be shortened to 40 minutes.
