The Tianjin maritime safety administration (Tianjin MSA) recently called a meeting to manage inland vessel participation in sediment clean-up in Tianjin, a port city located in North China. Policies on the move will be published to make great efforts to maintain water safety.
Tianjin MSA is going to gather information on the amount of inland vessels, their travelling area, sand discharging locations, and performance of local administrative committees now through September 30. Meanwhile, the Vessel Traffic Services Center will also track the inland vessels participating in removing sediment.
Tianjin MSA has a decade of history on managing inland vessel sediment treatment. In the past 10 years, it has gathered experience and formed a well-developed management system.
This year, Tianjin MSA will focus on the implementation of proposals with high operability and practicability. In addition, it will also raise the awareness of sediment treatment among all discharging locations and developers of water-related construction projects.
