9th National University Games (NUG) of China

The 9th NUG has a theme of "Solidarity, enterprise, morality, and education". This is Tianjin's first time to hold comprehensive national games, with around 7,000 athletes, coaches and judges from 31 provinces and autonomous regions, as well as Hong Kong and Macao expected to participate. State leaders will be invited to attend the opening ceremony and there will be a symposium on national college and university sports held at the same time.

The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Education, China General Administration of Sports, Central Committee of Communist Youth League.
