Westin Hotels, one of the world’s best known luxury hotel chains, is scheduled to open its first branch in Tianjin in the second half of this year.

The Westin Tianjin, part of a mixed use complex featuring a hotel, condominiums, office space, and retail shopping, is located in Heping district, Tianjin’s central business district.

The hotel, with 300 oversized guest rooms and suites, a total of 1,575 square meters of meeting and function space, a fully equipped business centre, and wireless technology in all meeting rooms and public spaces, is one of Tianjin’s 20 major service industry projects and will be the city’s most luxurious hotel.

A major recruitment was held in Tianjin yesterday in preparation for the hotel’s opening, offering over 250 jobs ranging from executives to waiters and receptionists. The hotel is currently accepting group inquiries at the pre-opening office but individual hotel reservations are not being accepted at the moment.

The Westin Tianjin is part of the Starwood family of hotels. Starwood Hotels & Resorts brings together some of the most well-recognized brands in the hospitality industry including Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, The Luxury Collection, and Le Méridien.
