Maogen Building |
No.121, Changde Road
Total floor area: 2103 square meters
Built in 1936-1937
Maogen Building is a modern apartment building built of brick and wood. Its simple geometric structure and sparse decoration reflect the influence of modern European architecture of the 1920s and 1930s.
The building consists of a four storey middle section flanked by two-storey wings. The contrast between the dark glazed quarry tiles and the light cement plaster of the balcony and parts of the walls give the building a striking appearance
