Lan Mingxiang, 92, an ethnic Yi woman residing in the cliff-top village of Gulu, Hanyuan county, Sichuan province, has finally managed to leave the mountainous area for the first time in 75 years because of the cableway built by the Shandong Tai'an Construction Engineering Group.

The 850-meter-long cableway, which was completed in 2018 after two years of construction, has made it much easier for villagers from two mountains to meet.

Before the construction of the cableway, these residents had to spend several days traveling from one village to the other.
