Nineteen Tai'an medical workers who finished their period of medical observation in Dezhou, Shandong province, after returning from Hubei province arrived back in Tai'an on April 1.

Among the 19 medics, six were the fourth group of medical workers sent to Wuhan in Hubei on Feb 5 to assist local medical workers there, and the other 13 were the fifth group who left for Wuhan on Feb 8.

The members of the fourth group worked in the Wuhan Dongxihu Fang Cang makeshift hospital from Feb 9 to March 8, until all 359 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were discharged from the hospital. No deaths were reported and all the medical workers remained healthy.

Working at the largest Fang Cang makeshift hospital in Wuhan, the six medics of the fourth group were given awards by the country for their efforts treating patients and risking their own lives.

The 13 medics of the fifth group worked at the Wuhan Hanyang Fang Cang makeshift hospital where there were 599 confirmed cases, 308 of whom were cured and 291 were transferred to other hospitals.

Several medical workers from Tai'an were sent to Hubei to assist local medical workers there. They performed admirably in the battle against the novel coronavirus.
