The curtain of the Shandong intangible cultural heritage classroom at the Shandong Provincial Cultural Center will rise on March 4 to introduce and teach the province's outstanding intangible cultural heritage to kids.

Organized by the Shandong Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, the classroom will be a great platform for passing on and protecting the province's traditional culture. It will be the biggest such base in the province reaching out to younger generations.

The classroom will be opened every Saturday beginning March 4. Every course will be taught by a state-level or provincial-level intangible cultural inheritor. Kids aged between 6 and 12 can sign up for the class.

The first class on March 4 will be taught by Fan Zheng'an, a national inheritor of Mount Tai shadow puppet play.
