Tai'an, CALT to strengthen cooperation
The Tai'an government and China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Aug 25, marking a new stage of development in bilateral ties, 1545ts.com reported.
Li Hong, director of CALT, and Li Xixin, mayor of Tai'an, attended the signing ceremony.
Li Hong said that CALT, as the cradle of China's aerospace industry and the largest research and production base of strategic missiles and carrier rockets, has been implementing the national strategy of great-leap-forward development, whilst applying and promoting the latest scientific technology, which has occurred on an industrial scale in some sectors such as advanced energy, special vehicles, and auto parts.
He added that after the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement with Tai'an city, CALT is committed to providing strong technical support for local enterprise, and to drive forward innovation and progress.
Li Xixin expressed his thanks to CALT for its strong support for the city's economic and social development over the years. He said that the two sides would work closely together and further promote regional development.
