SPC holds closing ceremony for 1st training seminar for Burmese judges
The Supreme People’s Court (SPC) held a closing ceremony for the first training seminar for Burmese judges on Nov 4.
Addressing the ceremony, SPC's Grand Justice Hu Yunteng said that with the deepening of the Belt and Road initiative, communication and cooperation between judicial organs of both China and Myanmar has become closer and closer.
Hu said that aimed at consolidating and developing the judicial cooperation between the two countries, the National Judges College held the first training seminar for Burmese judges this year.
By attending lectures and visiting the SPC and several other courts at lower levels, Burmese judges learnt about China, including its judicial system and development of smart courts and litigation services, and enhanced their friendship with their Chinese counterparts.
Hu said he hopes that the countries could draw on the training seminar to further their judicial cooperation, especially in the crackdown on drug-related crimes and telecommunication fraud.
