SPC delegation visits Finland, Germany for better judicial relations
A delegation of Chinese judges visited Finland and Germany from June 9 to 16 to share judicial practices and promote further exchanges.
The visit to Finland aimed to deepen the two nations' sound and long-existing judicial exchanges, said Sun Huapu, member of the judicial committee of China's Supreme People’s Court and leader of the delegation, as he attended the 3rd China-Finland round-table meeting.
China-Finland joint work plan for 2019-2023 and the MoU on judicial cooperation between the countries' top courts were planed to implement during the visit, added Sun.
Finland shared its latest judicial reform and said it's willing to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with China and boost the judicial relationship.
In Germany, Sun said that China is delighted to exchange judicial practices and attempts to maintain social fairness and justice and to further improve the rule of law.
China's delegation also shared smart courts' construction progress and challenges. The German side showed their interest and said it’s willing to promote bilateral judicial exchanges and cooperation.
Sun met with judges and representatives from the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection, the highest state court of Berlin and a court in Brandenburg.
