SPC vice-president meets with head of AIPPI
China expects more cooperation with the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) to improve intellectual property rights system hand in hand, said Luo Dongchuan, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) and president of SPC's Intellectual Property Court.
Luo made the remarks as he met with Renata Righetti Pelos, the president of the AIPPI on May 29 in Beijing.
The establishment of the IP Court is a major decision that China made to gradually become a strong power in terms of IP, sciences and technologies, and it's also a big part of China's deepening judicial reform, said Luo.
The IP Court is crucial to unified and consistent trial criteria, as well as the modernization and development of the international IP system, said Righetti, adding that she expects more cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.
The AIPPI has shared sound cooperation and exchanges with China in a long time, said Luo.
