SPC vice president urges further study of court informatization theory
He Rong, vice president of the Supreme People’s Court and Wang Shengming, deputy director of the National People's Congress (NPC) Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee inspected the informatization progress of the Zhejiang Provincial Higher People’s Court in Hangzhou, April 7 – 8.
He visited the court’s information center, which operates an online court for e-commerce affairs, an auction selling assets involved in litigation, an integrated network for settling diversified disputes and a “smart court” using big data technology.
The vice president said that Zhejiang courts’ informatization has made significant progress in helping judges handle cases, providing better legal services for people and improving the management of trials.
He urged the courts in Zhejiang to offer their informatization experience to courts nationwide and to strengthen theoretical study, which, combined with trial practice and information technology, improves legislation.
During their tour of the Alibaba Group, the jurists were briefed on the operation of the domestic e-commerce giant and on its applications of cloud computing, big data and the Internet of Things.
