Shanxi University received donations of 60,000 yuan ($8,567.27) from three alumni from the university’s Academy of Music on Dec 17, according to SXU officials.

Among the donors were Chen Jinlong, graduated from SXU in 2017, Wang Zhenwen who graduated in 2008 and An Chao in 2007.

At a donation ceremony held at the Academy of Music on Dec 17, Wang Shijie, deputy secretary of Shanxi University Education Development Foundation, on behalf SXU showed great gratitude to the three alumni.

Wang also explained that the donations would be used in accordance with the donor's wishes.

Wang Shijie, Wang Tongwu, Party secretary of the Academy of Music and Qiu Huaisheng, dean of the Academy of Music, also conferred certificates of donation on the alumni.

The alumni also recalled their time at SXU and expressed their gratitude and good wishes to their old school at the ceremony.
