Regulation on receiving social donations of Shanxi University

Article IV. Donation acceptance
1.If the donation project is university established, the donor needs to agree with project rules and the university fundraising committee needs to register it before acceptance.
2.If it is a new donation project, the university and donor need to discuss the use of the funds and the two should reach an agreement that can be used as a guideline.
3.In large donation projects, an agreement on the form, usage, time, and use of the funds is essential.
4.All donation agreements should be made under the name of the fundraising committee of Shanxi University and no individual can accept a donation.
Article V. Management
1.The fundraising committee of Shanxi University is in charge of university donations and is the coordinator and administrator of all donation matters, such as projects, funds, and information.
2 .All money donations are to be deposited in the university bank account. Each project will have its own account and accountant and the committee must give the donor a valid receipt.
3.The value of property donations is to be assessed in accordance with similar property and the assessed value will be put on file before the property is used by the University.
4.The committee will do regular checks on all donations and inform the donor of the management and use of his or her funds.
Article VI. Acknowledgement
1.The university will give all individuals and organizations a certificate of donation as an award, and any individual who donates more than 1,000 yuan, or any organization donating more than 10,000 yuan, will receive a memento and honorary certificate.
2.Any individual who donations a large amount will be made a member of the Shanxi University Alumni Association’s board of directors, and any organization that makes a large donation will have priority in cooperation on personnel training projects and use of scientific and technological achievements.
3.Donors have the right to name their donation project in agreement with the university and its regulations.
4.The university will display donor names and amount of donations in the history museum and put their names on its website, or in its newspaper or magazine with the donor’s permission.
5.Donors can also discuss any form of acknowledgement or recognition with the university in accordance with their wishes.
Article VII. Supplementary provisions
1.Any matters not dealt with directly in this notice should be negotiated by the donor and the fundraising committee of the university.
2. The fundraising committee reserves all rights to final decisions.
