CAS geneticist hired as visiting professor of Shanxi University

Xue Yongbiao, a researcher from the Beijing Institute of Genomics attached to Chinese Academy of Sciences, was hired as a visiting lecturer of Shanxi University on June 5.
Vice-chancellor Zhang Tiancai issued a letter of appointment for professor Xue.
Xue made an academic report related to the theory and application of self-incompatibility of plants and introduced in detail the origin, evolution and molecular mechanism of the self-incompatibility of flowering plants.
After the report, Xue visited the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedical Research Center of Shanxi University, and put forward constructive opinions on the development of the discipline of our university.
