Facing continuing pressure from the economic downturn, the Datong Economic and Information Commission has made great efforts to ensure the steady growth of industrial economy in the first half of the year.

From January to April, the commission deployed 434,700 tons of thermal coal for Datang Yungang International Thermal Power Co. Ltd. International Thermal Power Co. Ltd. and more than 300,000 tons for Datong No 2 Power Plant. On May 23, matchmaking sessions were held between enterprises that produce and use coal.

Being a good matchmaker for coal-producing and coal-consuming enterprises, the commission will take full responsibility to work out 22 key industry projects in Datong.

With emphasis on the 1.4-billion-cubic-meter coal gas project between China National Off-shore Oil Corp New Energy Investment Co, Ltd and Datong Coal Mine Group, the commission will do their best to make sure key projects proceed smoothly, in an effort to foster new sources for economic growth and inject new impetus to maintain steady economic growth
