The Shanxi province delegation to the 2014 National People's Congress (NPC) and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), March 3-13, in Beijing, led by Yuan Chunqing, provincial Party secretary, spoke with Premier Li Keqiang at a panel discussion, on March7, where Li listened attentively to the delegates, who presented an array of materials on provincial development and changes in recent years.
Li described Shanxi as an important energy and resource base for China and said it should explore new ways of guaranteeing the quality of its development and the efficiency, and offered a bit of advice for the Shanxi delegation: first, use the reforms to promote economic transformation; second, rely on specific industries, while looking for advantages in the course of development; third, concentrate on poor housing and do everything possible to improve the people’s livelihood.
