According to the Shanxi provincial economics and finance bureau, the Guangling paper cuts had been settled in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, being one part of the "Shanxi Brand Street"-a street in Taiyuan to display famous Shanxi brands, along with Shanxi Mature Vinegar and Fenjiu Wine.

The economics and finance bureau opened the "Shanxi Brand Street" along Taiyuan's Yingze Street as part of a "Bringing Shanxi brands recognition nationwide" activity for provincial development through branding.

Zhang Duotang, a descendent of the Guangling paper cuts founder, and his son, Zhang Dong, put 45 million yuan into a paper cuts industrial park for teaching, research, design, and production to attract visitors and pass on the paper cuts tradition. The arrival of Guangling paper cuts on "Shanxi Brand Street" will help Shanxi's development.

Guangling paper cuts, as a famous Shanxi specialty, have interesting content, delicate workmanship, attractive colors, and local characteristics. Their patterns vary and symbolize happiness and luck and thanks to the cutting method, and clean lines, they are quite popular both at home and abroad.
