The Huamao International Jewelry Mall, of the city of Datong, Shanxi province, held a press conference in the Guobin Grand Hotel of Datong city on Oct 18, to announce a jewelry industry summit concerning the jewelry business’s future in smaller Chinese cities.

Huamao's main business is jewelry retail sales and it hopes to become the biggest, most professional, highest-class international jewelry mall, with centers in Shanxi and Hebei provinces and the Inner Mongolia region.

Li Xiumei, the secretary of the C&B Jewelry Entrepreneur Association, in addressing the summit, focused on the Datong jewelry business and how the jewelry mall came into existence.
