The government of the city of Datong, Shanxi province held talks with a Swedish trade delegation at the Holiday Inn Datong City Centre, on July 23, as part of its preparations for an International ecological productivity conference it is hosting, in September.

The local government invited the Swedes to have a look first and Datong's deputy-mayor, Cao Bin, gave them a brief presentation on the city and discussed cooperation projects in different areas, such as sister-city relations, new energy, tourism, electronic information, and culture creativity.

Members of the trade commission said they were optimistic about cooperating with Datong and were willing to support its development using their own advantages.
