Industry will shift its structure to focus on exports in the field of new energy, photovoltaic products, bio-pharmaceuticals, equipment manufacturing, and environmental protection materials.
Datong will also consolidate its US and European markets and expand markets in Africa, the Middle East, India, and Russia. It also plans to expand foreign trade and change the growth pattern of foreign trade this year, while promoting five export bases, the processing and service sectors, and outsourcing. It also plans to introduce import and export projects and companies, draw up service outsourcing plans and cultivate the talented people and companies in these areas.
Datong wants to improve its import policies and focus on advanced technology and parts and components. It is encouraging its leading industries and companies to take part in both regional and international cooperation as well as foreign projects and labor service exporting. The companies are encouraged to increase foreign industrial investment, set up oversea bases, and utilize foreign sources to expand the foreign market.
