The Agriculture Ministry’s chief veterinarian officer, Yu Kangzhen, paid a visit to Datong, Shanxi province, on Jan 10, and did a survey of animal husbandry development in the company of ministry and Shanxi government officials.

Yu said that high-tech animal breeding using advanced management techniques is important to transforming and developing agriculture and related industries and emphasized the need for animal husbandry to proceed in an environmentally friendly way while making breakthroughs in quality, safety, and benefits for healthy, sustainable development.
