A group of people representing textile giants in Jiangsu province, led by Chen Jianhua, the president of the Hengli Group, visited the city of Datong, Shanxi province recently to learn about textile development there.

Geng Yanbo, Datong’s mayor, took part in a panel discussion arranged for the visitors, on possible cooperation by the two groups in establishing a textile industry park in Datong.

Geng explained that Datong is undergoing an industrial transformation, with the idea of concentrating on emerging industries and that cooperation with leading textile companies could be really significant for the urban transformation. And, Datong, Geng added, needs to provide good services to attract leading textile companies.

Chen commented that the on-the-spot analysis and the ability to communicate this way helped the group of visitors get a better sense of Datong’s economic development and that their enterprises hope this cooperation will be a winner for everyone.

The visitors also got a look at the equipment and manufacturing industrial park and factories in Datong to get a better understanding of infrastructure conditions of the various industries.
