Datong's total fiscal revenue in the first seven months of 2012 has gone up to 11.80 billion yuan ($1.85 billion), an increase of 1.6 billion yuan ($251 million) or 15.7 percent from the same period last year.
The state taxation system has collected 7.13 billion yuan ($1.12 billion) in tax revenue, up 1.22 billion yuan ($191.42 million) or 20.1 percent compared with the same period last year. The local taxation system yielded 3.88 billion yuan ($608.77 million), 7.2 percent higher than last year. The financial sector generated 780 million yuan ($122.38 million), up 18.1 percent.
Datong's general budget revenue increased by 16.1 percent, up to 4.71 billion yuan ($739.00 million), of which tax revenue has contributed 3.93 billion yuan ($616.62 million), an increase of 15.8 percent.
The growth of total fiscal revenue is the result of increases in four main tax groups, amounting to a 1.45 billion yuan ($227.51 million) in growth. These taxes include the value-added tax, the enterprise income tax, the turnover tax and the resource tax.
