The long-awaited Datong citizen cultural lecture was held in the international hall of Yungang Jianguo Hotel on May 23. Bai Yansong, a famous CCTV host, delivered an inspiring speech as the first speaker to kick off the activity.

The cultural lectures for local citizens, held openly for public welfare, is sponsored by the municipal publicity department and undertaken by the Tongyuecheng Real Estate Development Co Ltd.

The activity is aimed to enrich citizens’ cultural life, elevate their cultural taste, promote cultural spirit, and develop public culture.

Many cultural celebrities, college professors, and famous writers will be invited to give lectures, turning the activity into a spiritual homeland of the local citizens.

The first lecture was given by Bai Yansong, a famous CCTV host. He started with the lecture themed, “changing Datong and influencing the world”, and ended with the lecture titled, “changing ourselves to make the world better”.
