A network singer contest recently finished its debut in Datong and was the first of its kind held in the city.

The three-month event themed, “power of the network” aimed to enrich people’s lives and highlight the city’s cultural power.

With novel content it was the first time the city’s network media had such contact with netizens. The event has attracted nearly 1,000 participants across the nation.

After the preliminary contest, quarter-final and final competition, the jury announced 20 winners with one first-prize grand winner.
