Local farm products from Datong were recently showcased at a trading fair, with many visitors showing interest.

The exhibits included Lulu soft drinks, Yanggao dried apricots, Hunyuan potato jelly and Yanmen Qinggao buckwheat.

The fair was part of the second Shanxi agricultural exposition, a high-end specialized trade activity jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Agricultural and Shanxi government.

Delegates from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign companies were in attendance.

Datong pavilion highlighted the city’s role as an agricultural supply base for Beijing and Tianjin, and its endeavor to construct a modern agricultural demonstration zone.

It adopted modern technologies to show the rich, ancient culture and distinct agricultural products, winning high attention and positive words from guests.
