There is also psychological consulting to help them relieve the stress and to deal with difficulties they encounter in their daily lives.
The company has also listed personnel training as a priority because "talented people are a key element in company development," according to the director.
Datong Coal has spent 30 million yuan on further training in the areas of coal, electric power, chemistry, metallurgy, and the manufacture and repair of coal crushers.
Also, the company will provide monthly rewards for miners with an outstanding performance record, to stimulate them and others.
One of the skilled workers said that he used to spend his free time drinking and playing cards with his buddies, but now they use their spare to discuss technical matters after work.
"We're much happier to enrich both our material and spiritual lives," he said.
