As Golden Week, a holiday that combines National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, approaches, local people in Shanxi province begin to celebrate in different ways.
Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province, sets up a huge chrysanthemum basket on Yingze Street to welcome National Day. |
Roughly 800,000 flowers comprised of 50 different varieties are laid along the streets in Changzhi to welcome National Day. Local people can appreciate the magnificent three-dimensional flower show. The materials in the show are all recyclable and environmentally friendly. |
On Sept 26, local people in Yuanqu county, Shanxi province, celebrate the coming National Day by decorating street shops with red lanterns and national flags. |
Hongtong Dahuaishu Memorial Garden provides high-quality services and a clean and secure environment for tourists during National Day. The ancient building is decorated with flowers, red lanterns and flags. Dahuaishu Memorial Garden is a holy place for overseas Chinese. Every year, thousands of overseas Chinese return from afar to pay homage to their ancestors. Scarves made of locust tree leaves and mooncakes, which were once given as sacrificial offerings to ancestors, will be given to tourists as gifts during Mid-Autumn Festival. |
