The Shanghai Playa Maya Water Park will hold a water carnival from now until Sept 5.

The event will feature electronic music parties featuring DJs, emcees and girl groups. Visitors can enjoy the music and dance performances while in the water.

The park has extended its opening hours in the summer to 22:00.

There will be five water parties every day for visitors to beat the summer heat.

From July 10 to Aug 15, models will be invited to participate in the water activities. Fitness instructors will also perform aerobics at the park.

Address: No 1222 Linhu Road, Songjiang district, about 29.4 km from downtown Shanghai

Opening hours: 9:30 to 22:00
