Shanghai's Songjiang district staged a series of roadshows in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces from Aug 29 to 30 to promote its cultural products and iconic attractions, including Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort (Sheshan Resort).

In Huzhou, Jiaxing and Suzhou cities, the delegation from Songjiang showcased the district's unique charms through videos, performances and exhibitions, and talked with local travel agencies on developing cross-region tours.

Impressed by the roadshows, the municipal government of Huzhou signed a cooperation agreement with the district government of Songjiang to build a shared future for their tourism industries.

Accordingly, tourists from Huzhou will soon enjoy exclusive discounts at many popular Songjiang attractions, including Sheshan Resort.

For more than two decades, Sheshan Resort has been a major entertainment and leisure destination in Shanghai, giving visitors the opportunity to return to nature and explore the city's cultural roots.

The tourist resort keeps visitors entertained with amazing natural landscapes, ancient relic parks, and seasonal activities such as music festivals, magic shows and summer carnivals. Restaurants in Sheshan provide local specialties such as preserved pork chops, goose, duck and chicken, stewed fish and eggs, egg dumplings, and beef with sour soup.

The resort was named a top 10 recreation spot of China in 2011 and a five-star sports tourism base of Shanghai in 2018. The brand value of "Shanghai Sheshan" reached 6.09 billion yuan ($884 million), according to the China Quality Certification Centre.
