1. Sheshan Catholic Church
Sheshan Catholic Church, is located at the top of West Sheshan, Sheshan town in Songjiang district. It was originally built in the 1870s by French missionaries and has been through several restorations. The existing cathedral was built between 1925 and 1935.
The cathedral is designed with Roman style of the Renaissance form, exquisite and gorgeous. It is also known as the "Far East's First Church". In 1989, the cathedral was announced as Shanghai's cultural relic protection unit. In 2016, it was listed among the first batch of China's 20th century architectural heritage list.
