With the arrival of the summer heat, Sheshan National Tourism Resort in Shanghai has introduced a series of cool events and activities to encourage people to get outside and enjoy the hotter days.
The Sheshan Summer Carnival, which started on Saturday, lasts to the end of August, and it includes various kinds of summer events, such as water challenges at the Playa Maya Water Park, water shows at Happy Valley, appreciate the starry night at Sheshan Mountain, feel the speed and passion at Tianma Circuit, and walk through the shade of Sheshan National Forest Park.
Various water rides in Playa Maya Water Park newly imported from abroad are expected to offer greater choice and fun for family days out. |
Fun and thrills
Flaya Maya Water Park offers thrills and spills with water rides such as the four-slide water turbo drop, and "wars" fought with water guns, while Shanghai Happy Valley will be enlivened by about 60 daily performances.
In all there are more than 100 water entertainments at Flaya Maya Water Park, such as Animal Kingdom, the Secret Places of the Ocean, and Happy Jungle, which are designed to encourage interaction between parents and children.
Children can also explore the world of art at Yuehu Sculpture Park or go to the National Forest Park to experience a natural playground.
Motor racing enthusiasts can experience the fast and furious competition for themselves at Tianma Circuit, where they can drive their own cars on the circuit and get up close with racing cars.
And in addition to enjoying some rounds of golf or participating a night run, people visiting Sheshan National Tourism Resort can also participate in a hiking challenge, which will be held on July 16th.
The event will help raise money and school supplies for children in rural areas.
