Starry sky photo exhibition opens at Sheshan

Visitors can now visit the Shanghai Astronomical Museum to view the photographic exhibition featuring the beauty of the stars at night from May to June.

The Shanghai Astronomical Museum at the top of West Sheshan Mountain launched a photography exhibition on May 1, featuring 38 works depicting the beauty of the stars at night.

The exhibition includes "The World at Night" by Chinese adventure traveler Kidd, "Galaxy above Yamdrok Lake" by photographer Dai Jianfeng, and "Surrounded with Starry Sky" by visualization specialist Hua Jiajun.

The starry sky show serves as part of a series on astronomical science and art which started in January. It will last to the end of June and will be open every day from 8.30 to 16.30.

Tips

Ticket Information

Visitors are able enter the exhibition with a ticket from the Shanghai Astronomical Museum. The standard ticket price is 12 yuan ($2) and the student price is 8 yuan per person.

Sheshan Station of Subway Line 9 → Songjiang Bus No.92 → East Gate of West Sheshan Mountain → 10 min walk to mountain top → Entrance of the Shanghai Astronomical Museum
