The fourth tournament in the 11th World Golf Championships, sponsored by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), opened at Shanghai Sheshan International Golf Club on Nov 2.
Dubbed the Asian Grand Slam, the Champions tournament lasts from Nov 2 to 8. After two official practice days and the Pro-Am tournament on the third day, the professional tournament will tee off on Nov 5 and be open to all the ticket holders.
The 11th World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions is the final World Golf Championships event of this year and showcases a stellar confirmed field including reigning Champion and World No. 4 Bubba Watson, World No. 2 Jordan Spieth, World No. 3 Rory McIlroy, World No. 5 Rickie Fowler, World No. 7 Henrik Stenson, 2013 Champion Dustin Johnson, 2011 Champion Martin Kaymer, 2008 Champion Sergio Garcia and the inaugural 2005 winner David Howell.

The event organizers also launched several activities including a drive green project, HSBC discounts for customers, a red dress day and ticket discounts for students.
The Sheshan Golf Club is the first private golf course built in Shanghai. With highly-restricted membership requirements, the club is a world-class championship course with an award-winning clubhouse. Since its opening in 2004 it has received a great deal of recognition from the international golf community, and has contributed to the development of golf in China as well as Shanghai's city image.
