Shanghai Chenshan Botanic Garden held a flower show in its tropical greenhouse from Feb 9 to 24. Over 10,000 bulb flowers were on display to visitors.

The flowers at the show were blossoming out of season thanks to modern temperature control and the unique exhibition environment of the greenhouse in Chenshan Botanic Garden. The garden also introduced more than 10 other bulb flowers from Holland to diversify the show.

The show exhibited various categories of bulb flowers in groups, containers and fields – accompanied by festival flowers like Strelitzia reginae aitons, Geraniums and Cyclamens – to build a dazzling, colorful atmosphere during Spring Festival.

Other flowers in the tropical greenhouse – such as Streptocarpus, Forsythia viridissima and Cyperus alternifolius – also blossomed to create an exotic flower world. What delighted visitors most were the rare and valuable orchids, which stood out among the flowers and attracted the visitors to linger in the garden.
