In the past, on the second day of each second lunar month, people would hold a festival to offer sacrifice to the dragon in Hengshan Mountain.

It is commonly called "Dragon Raising Its Head". In Hengshan Mountain, there is a cave called "White Dragon Cave". According to legend, there was a white dragon in the cave. The local people offered sacrifice to the dragon to pray for good weather for the crops and a bumper harvest. In the ritual people would wear flowery clothes and facial makeup, carry a statue of "Dragon King" and parade in the mountain. Nowadays, however, the ceremony is lost.
