Shanghai's Lujiazui Financial City is set to start its London-based financial talent training program on March 22. Registration for the program will close on Feb 10.

The program is a joint effort of Lujiazui Financial City, the City of London, and related industry organizations. It has been held two times previously, in March and September of 2016. The program seeks to improve the skills of Lujiazui's financial professionals and promote exchange and cooperation between Chinese and British financial institutions.

This year's program focuses on direct investment, merger and acquisitions (M&A), and private equity. Managers from a wide range of fields such as insurance, wealth management, securities, pension investment, equity investment, venture capital and banking are eligible to apply for the program. Successful applicants will stay in London for two weeks from March 22 to April 1.

The program has selected 13 institutions based in the United Kingdom to act as partners. These include nine equity investment institutions such as Level 39, Europe's largest technology accelerator space for finance, retail and future cities technology companies, and UK-based venture capital firm Balderton Capital. It also includes four professional services companies such as Norton Rose Fulbright, a global law firm.

Lectures will be delivered by these top UK institutions and other exchange activities will take place for the benefit of the trainees.
