Since the Shanghai Municipal Postal Administration released the first batch of express delivery companies to resume business, all major EMS business outlets in Shanghai's Jiading district have started operations with a total of 120 workers returning to work.
For example, six employees at the Malu town EMS station have returned to work. They perform nucleic acid and antigen tests as needed to assure the safety of each delivery. "We will carry out on-site disinfection of incoming packages after unloading them every day, and we also disinfect our used postal vehicles, which include bicycles, after returning to the center every day," said Shen Xiaofan, manager of the EMS outlet in Malu town.
In addition, workers at the Malu town outlet divide packages into guaranteed supply goods and standard express, and they prioritize deliveries with a supply guarantee.
Shen also said that more workers will gradually come back to work based on the delivery needs.
