Shen Biao, a deputy from Shanghai's Jiading district, showed faith in rural revitalization while attending the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress and the fifth session of the 13th National People's Political Consultative Conference, which kicked off in Beijing on March 4.
Shen, who is also the Party secretary of Beiguan village in Malu town, Jiading district, said that the rural revitalization strategy is a major national strategy.
In the new round of rural revitalization, Beiguan village should not only bolster its efforts to achieve economic development, but also pay efforts to improve the living environment conditions of the villagers, Shen said.
In addition, efforts should be made to meet public needs in order to further enhance the work of rural revitalization, Shen added.
In 2021, the village made fruitful results in rural revitalization. The village beefed up its efforts to build an ecological and cultural environment, creating 80 hectares of green areas across the village.
According to Shen, the village will attract younger and more vibrant innovators and entrepreneurs to help improve local governance and the environment.
