The fourth Scientific Technology Fair for the Yangtze River Delta Region kicked off at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center in Jiading district on Nov 17.
A batch of high-tech transformation projects, including a genetics project by Jiading-based bio-tech company Precision, an in vivo optical imaging system project, and an in vitro diagnostics project based on integrated bio-optoelectronics, were signed at the launch ceremony.
An innovation consortium for YRD automotive semiconductors including nearly 30 vehicle enterprises, auto parts enterprises and enterprises and institutions related to automotive chips was also officially inaugurated at the launch ceremony.
A report on the innovation ecology index of 41 cities in the YRD region in 2021 was also released at the launch ceremony. The index consisted of four "first-level indicators" supported by innovative resources, innovative production, industrial potential, and environment, as well as 12 "secondary indicators". According to the report, the "first-level indicators" saw a 12.84 percent increase compared to 2020, reflecting the improvement of innovation ecology construction in the YRD region.
In addition, the first batch of 10 scientific and technological achievements which have the greatest technology transfer potential in the YRD region was released at the launch ceremony.
The three-day fair will be held both offline and online and attract over 500 companies. The offline fair includes five exhibition areas, which are YRD region technology trading area, exhibition areas for achievements by academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, digital cities, cutting edge scientific technology achievements, and YRD cities. Over 40 professional forums, competitions, matchmaking conferences will be held at the offline fair.
The online fair covers 35 cities within the YRD region such as Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Hefei, and Wuhu, as well as cities outside of the YRD region such as Beijing and Xi'an.
