Jiading district has been bolstering its efforts to establish public cultural and tourism spaces since it was recognized as a demonstration area of the national public cultural service system by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Ministry of Finance in 2019.
The district has been working on the establishment of its Home Study program, which is a 24-hour open public library extension service, since 2017. To date, the district is home to over 30 Home Study sites located in residential areas, business buildings, ancient streets, as well as tourist spots, containing 180,000 books and receiving over 4 million visitors.
"Home Study holds various events every week, such as handicrafts and baking, which are very suitable for my children and I to come to learn and experience," said a resident Yan Linji.

Jiading Museum has held 12 original exhibitions since 2017, showcasing the museum's collection resources and academic research.
The museum also has been carrying out cooperation with other museums from other cities to hold theme exhibitions. A total of 15 theme exhibitions have been held since 2017, such as the Nantong Blue Calico exhibition.
