A seminar on bile duct cancer organized by the China Anti-Cancer Association opened on Nov 23 in Anting town, Jiading district of Shanghai.
More than 100 well-known experts in the field of hepatobiliary cancers from all over the country attended the seminar and discussed issues such as early diagnosis, comprehensive prevention and control, scientific treatment and basic research of tumors of the biliary tract.
Wang Hongyang, vice dean of Shanghai Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Institute, and Academician Chen Xiaoping from Tongji Hospital gave reports on their medical research results.
More than 30 recent topics in the field of hepatobiliary tumors were also presented at the seminar.
Professor Jiang Xiaoqing from Shanghai Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital shared his team's research results in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary tract diseases.
According to the organizers, the two-day seminar focused on showcasing the latest research results in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary tumors in the country.
