A five-day local specialties trade fair opened at Jiading Stadium Oct 17, displaying over 5,000 kinds of distinctive craftworks and food from Shanghai's counterpart areas. Twenty cities from seven provinces in the county including Hubei's Yiling and Guizhou's Zunyi participated in the fair and sought cooperation opportunities with over 300 Shanghai companies.
Yang Shudi, from Madoi county, Yunnan province, took cultural and creative products featuring Yunnan elements such as fish fossils and meteorites to the trade fair.
A local woman surnamed Wang, who bought a lot of vegetables and fruit at the fair, said she used to buy products like these online, but now with the trade fair, she could see the real thing and even taste products before buying them.
