Qiuxia Garden

As one of the five classical Chinese gardens in Shanghai, Qiuxia Garden is the oldest and best conserved. It is composed of three private gardens built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), covering an area of 45.36 mu.

The garden, designed artistically and delicately with an elegant composition, is highly reputed for its breathtaking beauty, with many couplets and inscriptions by celebrities in the garden. There are more than 140 osmanthus trees, including four that are over 100-year-old, as well as plenty of maple trees.
