The 2017 Jiading Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Camp came to an end on July 22.
More than 200 young entrepreneurs took part in the month-long camp in hope of gaining a range of experiences and business-focused expertise.
The course began with an opening ceremony which offered participants the chance to meet and greet one another through a range of fun-filled icebreakers.
The progam put the entrepreneurs through their paces with a series of courses ranging from basic to advanced lessons. Courses covered how to find innovation opportunities, how to analyze and choose startup projects, how to establish a reasonable equity structure, what the best financial management techniques are, and offered advice on commercial plans to attract investors.
In the latter stages of the course, participants were divided into multiple startup groups with each required to complete a commercial plan using the lessons learned in class. The best commercial plans were duly selected and rewarded.
The annual training camp was first held in 2015 and aims to offer innovative young people with business ambitions the tools necessary to realize their dreams. The camp also provides help to startups in the early stage of development to grow and develop.
