Residents in Xuhang town, Shanghai's Jiading district, had an opportunity to enjoy the integration of art and technology on May 23, when the Shanghai International Technology and Art Show took place in the town.
The show, an important part of this year's Shanghai Science Festival, explored the power of science and technology through art.
A variety of performances including singing, dancing, crosstalk, folk opera, and sketches were given, attracting more than 300 spectators.
The performances help the audience gain some scientific knowledge in sectors such as aerospace and modern agriculture.
Additionally, a gathering to popularize science was held at the Xuhang cultural and sports center, where twenty local hi-tech companies displayed their latest technologies and products.
This year's Shanghai Science Festival, which ran from May 20 to 27, had more than 1,000 activities on offer. They were launched throughout the city's 16 districts and counties. More than 100 universities and key laboratories were open to the public during the festival.
