The exhibition is a joint effort of Shanghai Auto Museum and Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari, with the aim of showing Italy's auto culture and the spirit of pursuing freedom and extreme experience.
The Shanghai Auto Museum, located in Jiading's Anting town, has run for more than a decade. It now has more than 100 collectable cars from over 20 brands.
Li Sijian, curator of the museum, said that more such exhibitions and activities will be launched to introduce the evolution of auto industry worldwide and to bring in world's leading auto culture into China to promote the development and prosperity of Chinese auto culture.
Gui Huiwen, head of Jiading's publicity department, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition and said that she expects more technological and cultural exchanges between Jiading and Italian enterprises.
Jiading has been well-known for its auto industry over the past three decades. Currently, the district has built advanced auto manufacturing and R&D bases and also stands out in auto sports and auto culture.
