A trade mission from Antwerp, Belgium, led by the European city's mayor Bart De Wever visited Nanxiang, Jiading district of Shanghai on Dec 16, to seek further cooperation with the town.

The trade mission toured Nanxiang's Shineland Industrial Park to learn about the development of local tech startup firms, as well as Nanxiang Old Street and Tanyuan Garden.
The Belgian delegates attended a meeting with local officials and entrepreneurs. Lu Zufang, deputy head of Jiading, welcomed the trade commission and said that she hoped the occasion would enhance Antwerp's cooperation and exchanges with Jiading in economy, trade, and culture.
Sang Jianming, head of Nanxiang, introduced the town's advantages in culture, industries, location, and services and expressed his wish to strengthen ties with Antwerp and achieve win-win results for both sides.
Bart said that the meeting played an important role in helping to promote cooperation between Nanxiang and Antwerp.
